Lentil and vegetable based healthy delicious Spinach Dal is jewel of every North Indian meal.Spinach Dal is perfect combination of spinach ,lentil,garlic and spices.
Ingredients(2 serving)
- Tuar dal β 1/2 cup
- Onion β 1/2 cup finely chopped
- Β Fresh fenugreek leaves- 1 cup chopped
- Garlic-3-4 cloves
- Tomato β 1 cup finely chopped
- Red chili powder β 1/2 tsp
- Green chili-1 slit length wise
- Salt β 1/2, tsp to taste
- Whole red chili β 2
- Bay leaf-1-2
- Mustard seed-1/2 tsp
- Cumin seed β 1/2 tsp
- Cooking oil/clarified butter-2 tbsp
Method
Step 1 β Wash dal and pressure cook with 4 whistles then for 2-3 minutes on low flame. Keep it aside.
Step2 β Heat oil in nonstick pan and add mustard seed. When seed crackle add cumin seed,Β whole red chili, bay leaf,garlic ,add chopped onions and cook it2-3 minutes till golden brown,add chopped fenugreek leaves cook 3-4 minutes till leaves completelyβ¦
